So far, it seems as if it will work just fine. When the box arrived it was chewed up and a mess. The ladder survived with a couple of scratches that I don't care about. After all, it's a ladder and it's going to have a hard life. However, the bottom rung has 2 protective caps. One of the caps was destroyed. They appear to just snap on. I contacted their customer service via e-mail 4 days ago. Still no response. I called their customer service 800 number 3 times and was on hold for 20 minutes each time listening to a recording telling me what a valuable customer I am; however no human ever picked up my call. I have yet to be in touch with the company and get a response. I've wasted a lot of time to get what is probably a 20 cent part - - guess I'll just cover up the end with duct tape. Bottom line: good ladder, but if you order it, just hope that it arrives intact with no customer service... The air deck that was supposed to be included was not in the box. After a call to Amazon, they made it right and provided a credit on the purchase to cover the purchase of a separate airdeck for the ladder.Once the airdeck arrived, it was time to use the ladder to clean out some gutters.The height of the ladder with the airdeck was just high enough to get me right against the house to clear my gutters with ease. This was on uneven ground and around some bushes that have a thick coating of mulch. cleared all of the gutters on the 1st floor in record time and had a place to keep my tools while I was doing it. |
